Now that Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday are behind us, we’re here to bring you back to reality + remind you that December is only 2 days away — aka, we don’t have much time to catch our breath before things get crazy again.

Civic
- This week, Chattanooga City Council will vote on a potential $19 million loan from the state to make improvements on the city’s wastewater treatment system. According to officials, the $19 million would fund 3 steps of a 10-year project to rehabilitate the system. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
Coronavirus
- Last week, the Hamilton County Health Department began administering COVID-19 booster shots to anyone ages 18+, with no appointment necessary. Booster sites are located at the Tennessee Riverpark (4301 Amnicola Hwy.), Sequoyah Health Center (9527 W. Ridge Trail Rd.), and Birchwood Health Center (5625 TN-60).
Development
- The property at 701 Cherry St. recently sold for over $4.1 million. Fun fact — the first Krystal restaurant was built here in 1952 on the southwest corner of 7th and Cherry. The property has been redeveloped by McGauley Holdings, LLC and sold to 701 Cherry St. Investors. (Chattanoogan.com)
Seasonal
- In case you missed it, EPB’s Holiday Windows display is now open for the holiday season through Jan. 3. This seasonal tradition — which dates back to the WWII era — displays "Chatta-who-ville"-themed holiday scenes in the windows on the Broad and Market Street sides of the EPB building + across the street in Miller Park.
Plan Ahead
- A holiday tradition for many, the Chattanooga Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” will have its opening show Fri., Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tivoli Theatre. 2021 marks the 34th year of production, with over 150 local youth joining the company members on stage. 🩰
Noogan
- Best & Brock Attorney Matt Brock was named a “2021 Rising Star” through Super Lawyers — a nationwide rating service that utilizes peer review nominations + evaluations.
