🐶 Restaurant patios
- Brewhaus, 224 Frazier Ave. | Sip on cold beer + relax outside with the company of your furry friend.
- Hair of the Dog Pub, 334 Market St. | This appropriately-named pub welcomes dogs of all kinds to its patio — with bowls of water often provided.
- Heaven & Ale, 342 E. Main St. | Dogs + humans alike can socialize at Heaven & Ale’s patio every Wednesday night at 4 p.m. for “Pups on the Patio.”
- Market South, 1501 Long St. | Bring the pup to sit on 1 of Market South’s 2 covered outdoor patios for a 5 Wits brew + some food.
- The Daily Ration, 1220 Dartmouth St. | With its large and open patio, this restaurant is the perfect place to bring your dog along.
- Universal Joint, 532 Lookout St. | This is another restaurant with a huge, dog-friendly patio + ample outdoor seating.

🐶 Dog Parks + other pup-friendly parks
- Play Wash Pint, 113 Johnson St. | Socialize with a beer in hand + your furry friend playing at your feet — this unique park features a self-wash station for hassle free, post-play pup cleaning.
- Heritage Dog Park, 1428 Jenkins Rd. | This membership-based park provides an off-leash environment for your dog.
- Greenway Farm Dog Park, along North Chickamauga Creek in Hixson | This park includes a large, fenced, off-leash area with several agility ramps and water sources for dogs + owners.
- Renaissance Park, 133 River St. | This pet-friendly park asks that pets remain on a leash. Note: While Renaissance Park is pup-friendly, nearby Coolidge does not allow dogs.
- Red Bank Dog Park, 798 Ben Miller Pkwy. | This park — located near White Oak Park — offers a spacious, fenced space for dogs to play off leash.
- Reflection Riding, 400 Garden Rd. | Reflection Riding welcomes dogs on leashes to its park.

- On Tuesday, Chattanooga City Council voted to authorize a 40-year lease with CFC for 13 acres of Montague Park. If approved by US Housing and Urban Development, CFC plans for 3 multi-use fields for soccer and other sports, a 22,000-sqft pavilion, restrooms, a concessions area + 180 parking spaces. - The next CIVIQ lecture series was recently announced for Sept. 30 at Waterhouse Pavilion. Ronda Lee Chapman will be speaking at the event on “Reimagining Our Relationship to Place: How we decolonize design thinking to inspire collective well-being.”

- Yesterday, early voting for the Tennessee House District 29 special election began and will continue Mondays-Saturdays through Sept. 9. - Yesterday, Hamilton County Schools interim superintendent Dr. Nakia Towns posted a video urging everyone to wear masks in Hamilton County Schools, regardless of the opt-out policy. Yesterday, Food City officials announced plans to construct 2 new Food City locations in the Chattanooga area.
The first location includes a 53,000-sqft. downtown supermarket that will be part of a mixed-use project at the intersection of Broad Street + W. 13th Street. The grocery will include an in-store bakery + deli plus a "restaurant-quality" food court, and the full development will include retail space, offices, and 6 2-story townhomes.
The Food City grocery store itself is expected to open by spring 2023.
