Kane Brown, Lowe's partnering to renovate East Lake Boys and Girls Club

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A country music star is helping his hometown.

Chattanooga area native Kane Brown is partnering with Lowe's to build a new library computer lab and teen lounge at the East Lake Boys and Girls Club.

Lowe's launched the $10 million initiative to celebrate its 100th year anniversary.

The East Lake Club was one of the 100 locations around the country chosen for the project.

We spoke to a Chattanooga Lowe's manager who explained why initiatives like these are so important right now.

"Especially in the last year with all the unprecedented times that we've had, I think now it's more important than ever for companies and organizations to come together and help these communities because they're in real need," said Todd Drew of Lowe's North Chattanooga.

The renovation project is expected to be finished this year by the end of August.
